Car Top Carriers

I am considering buying a car top carrier for my car and wounder what your experience has been with them. I want to get a hard shell carrier not a bag. Please include the brand name and size of carrier.

My dad gave me one the he bought years ago, he doesn't use it anymore. I have only used it once, when I moved. But, they do hold a lot, and I didn't have any problems with it. Also it was interesting to me that it did not affect my gas mileage. I'm not sure of the brand, as for the size, it's probably about 3 ft by 3ft, he used it on his suburban and I used it on my blazer. It also has place for locks. When I travel I will probably be using it again.
