Reports are out that used coffee grinds, placed on the affected areas, and wrapped in Sarah wrap for 20 minutes a day, will help to reduce cellulite. Would you be willing to try to get rid of cellulite using this method? Share your thoughts on the subject.

dear artistry,
caffeine speeds up the heart rate and increases blood pressure soon after consumption because it is a stimulant. an interesting effect of caffeine is daytime alertness and known to help prevent fatigue and sleep. The cycle some patients fall into is one where they consume caffeine several times per day when they feel tired or sleepy. Later that night they have difficulty falling or staying asleep.
i have read about coffee grinds making the skin firm by mixing it with your favorite lotion and spreading the same where you want the cellulite eliminated. let stay for several minutes and then wash. skin will look tighter after several application. but i have read that the result is only temporary.
so i guess i will say pass to that mixture. it may smell good on the body but it is icky. i guess to reduce cellulite, the best way is to exercise.
have a great day artistry,
ann
I advise my patients with high blood pressure to moderate their caffeine intake. Two cups of caffeinated beverages (soda, coffee, tea) per day is usually the maximum one should have. If possible, no caffeine should be had for at least four hours prior to bed.

...Hi there tigeraunt, I have no information on the lasting effects of doing this. I don't think I could endure the feel of the grinds on my skin. I am not a coffee drinker, but do drink tea, which I heard has more caffine in it than coffeer. So I try to get caffine free tea, if I can. I also uderstand that there are skin creams out now which contain coffee, which help improve the skin, all interesting new things. I think exercise, massage maybe and drinking lots of water might help with the cellulite. Thanks for the additional information on the coffee grinds treatment, and the caffine intake.
I appreciate it. Take care.
