Anxiety meds

Back to my daughter's anxiety. When R took her to the pediatrician last month, they were talking about Zoloft and Xanax (I think) and the nice counselor lady warned us off the Xanax, and my naturopath warned me off both drugs. Something about black box warnings (really, really serious side effect warnings) and the possibility of suicidal thoughts. Personally I'd rather try counseling long before I'd try drugs. But if we go that route, it's a possibility we may have to kiss the rest of the school year goodbye before she manages to get her nerves under control. And then she starts high school next year. Yikes. So anyway, anybody who has any experience with teenage anxiety and with these particular drugs, please, please stop on by and let me know about it. Thanks...

Well Dawn I have not heard of these but I think you need to mention to the Doctor what you have been told and ask him if there are any other options I know that is what I would do

And even if the doctor recommends something like that, I don't necessarily have to go with it.
