Hello everyone, especially to those who have given birth. I had my 28 week scan it it says that my baby is in a breech presentation and i have a low-lying placenta, grade 1. Though i was told that the baby will still do a lot of movements until my due. Will the placenta move together with my baby movement or will it get worst. I don't want to go to the C-section since it would be very expensive and there will be a mark after. I want to have a normal delivery as much. Please do share your own personal experience with me.

It depends on the guidelines being followe by your country's association of obgyn. Theoretically, we repeat the scan in 35th weeks because the placenta will migrate till that time. Also, most of the time the baby will have permanent position and presentation by that time. if it is still breech and the placenta becomes high-lying, you could undergo external version while on tocolytic agents to make the baby cephalic. Otherwise, if the baby is frank breech and is less than 4kg,it could also be delivered spontaneously depending on the practice of your country's specialists

Hi, thanks so much for this. I am from the Philippines and i really don't know the guidelines being followed here. I just pray hard that my baby will move head first and my placenta placenta will not get worse. As what you have said i still have until week 35 until my baby will have his permanent position. I am just praying everything will be okay them. I appreciate your help so much. Is there any exercise that i should do to help in the presentation and position of my baby ?

Well, then, you could just tell me if there are any problems because I am from the Philippines. What I tell you here is our new guideline in the Phil. Obstetrics and gynecology Society. Trust your ob.She knows what is best for you.

Thanks so much mimi, i will get back to you if there will be any problem. It is just that i don't want to undergo a C-section for my first pregnancy. That would really be the last resort as long as I will manage to do the normal labor. thanks a lot.

You must still keep seeing your doctor as required. Only your doctor can tell if you will be undergoing the "C". Although, as I am looking at the situation you have, having a low lying placenta puts you at risk for placenta previa which is always going to be "C" section candidate. Just pray that you wouldn't have to go through the procedure, but if it's the safest way to give birth, then financial concerns should come second to life and health
