Since I have been unemployed I have been doing temp work to bring money in.The money is really good but unfortunately most don't lead to fulltime work.I am starting a temp job tomorrow that will last for approximately seven weeks.Have you done temp work?

Congratulations! Yes I have done temp jobs and one of them did lead to a full time permanent job. This was when I lived in the US and as my work permit was expiring I couldn't stay as long as I would have wanted. Temp jobs are a great way to gain more experience and you get a chance to try your qualities at different jobs. I think temping is a very good choice when your'e not sure what kind of a job you want and you can be a lot more flexible with a temp job. Good luck to you tomorrow!

If you like the work, you are more likely to get a permanent job with that company even if it won't be immediately. You could always send in an open application after your temp period is over. It costs companies a lot of money to train new workers so if you already have some training with them, you would be more likely to get the job than someone who hasn't.

I have worked at alot of temp jobs, I always cringed when someone would walk in with an application as that meant one more that I was competing with. I submitted an application after my time was up hopeing for the best. I would even ask on the last day if they would write me a letter of recommendation for the next company as sorta a rapport stating that I fullfilled my job there and that I was dependable and showed professionalism during my time spent in there company- I always got the letters, there was only one time I haven't and it was because I only worked there a wk. and they said that wasn't enough time to to give an honest evaluation. Hope these tips help you. I now work full time in my home office on the internet and have a great job that pays as an Independent Contractor. I hope I never have to work outside the home again.

By now you will have done more than half the stint at a temp ausnikki and I hope it is going well for you. I have never done temp work but many moons ago I used to work for a Personnel Agency and was Manager of the temps. Some of them did get permanent jobs, but often not. Just make sure that you get a reference or something similar before you finish as it might come in handy for the next job you apply for. Good luck. :)

I have done a lot of temp jobs. Right now, Im working a seasonal job, as a bellringer for salvation army. Before that, I worked through a temp agency called snelling, and before that, a temp agency called Adecco. I worked many different kinds of temp jobs. Warehouses, office jobs, retail stores, car washing, child care, etc.

I have worked for 2 temp agencies. In both instances I was hired full time by the first company I was placed with. The first company I worked with for 3 months before being hired on. The company I am with now is hiring me full time on December 1st. You may want to talk to whomever is doing the placing for you. When I signed on with this last company one of the questions I was asked was if I was looking for something permentant. A lot of time they have companies that are using the temp agency to try out an employee and want to do temp to hire, but you have to ask for the assignments.

I used to do temp work for a credit reporting agency. It was fun and the money was good, when they needed me. That was the biggest problem with it. I wanted to move on to there full time, but they did not want to buy me from the temp agency, so I kept getting bad hours so they would not have to pay me as much.

Well, I believe that you gotta do what you gotta do, so keep up with the temp jobs. I know a lot of people who have gotten really great permanent jobs from temp jobs. you're bound to impress someone and get the great offer you are waiting for.

I have done temp agency and the paying isn't all that good. I don't think so. Plus it's not a gurantee hire unless you're an excellent replacement or they're really short at a period and need you to cover just for that time. It's not all that interesting to work for temp when you can go out there and find something that will pay you the right amount and enjoy doing.

I was working for a armored vehicle company through a temp agency. I was their for 8 months. Towards the end of my assignment the head HR person wanted to hire me. But before that I had failed my lie detector test but passed everything else(that's a reason why I don't belive in them!!! I know I never did anything and that's all that matters!!!) Well I knew how to do more things than the Supervisor that was responsible for me and she had me doing her job. Well one day I got so sick of it and came in one morning and just picked up my stuff and left! I had fun at that job. I was working for another agency and they had me interview with them then they had me interview with the company (3 managers-all females) well all the people working where I was were all temp employees. The girl that trained me was a temp employee and she got let go of the week before I was let go of! I really didn't understand why they didn't keep me or her. I worked hard and I was starting to learn a lot of things and I got along with everyone! I think they kinda discriminated! Well anyway my first experiance was okay. I think If they would of hired me things would be going smoothly around there and they would of hired a great employee that knows what she is doing!!!lol!

I've done temp work in the past and had gotten two permanent jobs through them. I think it takes working hard as if you actually work for them and if you finish a job early ask for more work, this will prove you are productive.

I started my career as a temp and I was hired on at the place I initially began working. I ended up working there 16 years and I left last May to start a familiy. I am finishing up school this month and I think I will probably go back to temping for a few months before the baby is due (in April). Congratulations on your new job, I like temping but if you're looking for a full time job, I know it can get frustrating.

I haven't done temp work but I have had a couple of family members that have. If you get a job with a good temp agency then it should be able to lead to a permanent job. My mom and my cousin both got permanent jobs through a temp agency
