I sooner pick up the phone then tear down a tree;) The phone
lets you hear the voice..

I sometimes send e-cards to my friends, but I usually prefer to send paper cards instead. I make my own paper cards. I use the pictures from old magazines and I like to combine the pictures in an unsual way in order to create a pictures that is funny or different from traditional cards. I sell some of the cards that I make but most of the time I use them when I want to send a card to a relative or a friend. Some of the e-cards are also funny and cute, but I think it is more fun to make my own cards.

Think about the cost .. if it's the thought that counts and not the
price on the card..why not go green?
There is the envelope that is made from trees..the stamps that are
constantly be hiked up in price and then the card itself.
IT is thicker then regular paper so takes more the tree then simple paper.
If you make them yourself you also have to have glue? and then markers,
crayons, or whatever. ..?

Personally, I like e-greetings. Paper cards are nice, but so wasteful! What do you do with all those cards after the season passes?

My thoughts exactly and they have been my thoughts more years then the go green movemnt has been in existance..So much waster on cards that are tossed away and probably only briefly glanced at.
I think cards are more for the giver then the receiver.. I mean how many cards do you remember anything was written in them?

Well, Francis, when I was a student in middle school, I always brought many paper cards and wrote down my blessings on them, then posted them.
But now, I don't do it anymore. I even seldom send the e-cards, I usually e-mail them with my blessings, attaching interesting pictures. It's common here! And I think it contains a lot of info, very convinient.
But of course, some chat software offer "e-card' service, sometimes I will do it when I get cards from my friends. One of my friends always sends e-cards, that's great!

I don't know some ecards i have read had been just as powerful or even
more then cards in the mail. I prefer that people take time to send greetings
but if they can save money in this economy, I wouldn't see it as less valuable
to receive an e-greeting: it's the thought that counts.

Go green means another tree has some life to it for a few more days.
I wonder what we would do when there are no more trees..

i used to send e card back there. In every unforgettable moment, such as new year, or national day. I send e-card to my relatives and friends. It is beautiful. But lately i don't do it anymore, because people are more interested to conversable in YM or FB. So from the feature inside it, i send the card instantly.

With the price of stamps going up ..I find that using technology such as
emails, phone calls and electronic cards are so convenient and just as heart
felt.

hi
you mean e-card online, through email thing? well, if your friend love using internet then it is alright but if someone is barely using internet then I prefer you to send by mail... it is more sweet and very nice of you to do that way

I wonder....I think there are super sweet electronic cards online
Online cards often allow you to have music on it.

I love the idea of sending e cards and I send them all the time for birthdays as well as Christmas and Easter and other occasions. The good thing is the fact that you are saving on the use of paper and it's better for the environment. Obviously the other party has to have an email address in order for you to send the card to them but I would say that the majority of people have an email address now. I have my favourte sites for this and they are 123greetings.com and care2ecards. I think they are far better than the traditional method of sending a paper card as they contain music as well as animation now. Yes, this is a terrific idea. Andrew

No, I really don't send cards much even at all. When I do though, it's always in real life. There's something much more personal about signing a letter yourself with your real life hand.

I don't send many cards..since the phone really brings you up and personal too..
I use to send lots of letters but now with the internet and unlimited calling
features I like to use internet and the phone.
