A utopia is usually something people only dream of. What if a utopia became a reality, just like in many books out there. One book specifically I am referring to is The Giver or a movie called Pleasantville. Can a utopia ever be achieved? Would a utopia or indefinite peace be boring, as evil is conquered?

I guess, that's real boring for the members of the Army Special Action Forces especially those snipers... and also the drivers of the Abrams (battle tanks), the pilots of the fighter planes and attack helicopters! Real boring for them.

It indeed would be. They would have to take up another occupation. Unless they are in fact there just to keep the peace, so no one fights anymore. What if a country decides to exercise their military control over the entire world and force peace throughout the valley? Would that then be boring or would that be tyranny or slavery?

I don't think an utopia or indefinite peace can be achieved, as we human beings all have our own fundamental darkness such as selfishness, greed, arrogance etc. We are all born with these aren't we. However I believe no one would want to live in fear in a chaotic world where there is killing and fighting, having to run for our lives. The peace we thirst for is to be established and decided by us, it can never be bestowed upon by someone else. It is not too difficult to realise that we would suffer if our neighbour's house is on fire and not put out in time. We cannot survive in isolation, not individuals nor nation. Therefore looking deeper indeed we have some responsibilities and obligations towards one another, just that we could have easily ignored or forgotten. Besides our trains of thought change every single moment each split second, we have the capacity for good and evil. We can accomplish great feats if we manifest the great good in each of us, as we can see in response to Asian tsunamis, earthquakes, Olympics Games and so on.
