ok, so somebody here made me go look at tabloids, I open the enquirer and lo and behold - Obama is cheating. Clearly a true story Then I go to drudge guess what is there big as life? a link to http://www.nationalenquirer.com/obama_cheating_scandal_vera_baker_video_/celebrity/68589 slow news day? atleast they mention on the main page that it is National Enquirer. Then below it says that there is video tape. So, what do you think? I am not a big fan of Obama (I know shocker) but I didnt really picture him pulling a slick willy. What do you think? Do you think there is ANY grain of truth to the story? This story aside, would you have believed it?

I think the story (and, apparently, the entire NationalEnquirer website) has been pulled, JB. In fact, this page says the same: http://www.pamil-visions.net/national-enquirer-down/214767/ and suggests some very interesting reasons why!

i like the one about the burble doing it deliberately for publicity. the one about the authorities doing it seems odd - how exactly is a silly tabloid story going to 'bring down the presidency'. nobody believes them.

LMAO, the National Enquirer as a source. They get one story right out of millions and now people believe it to be a reliable source. Do you think that the story they did on the real angel being shot is true as well?

Well, I don't believe the story at all. But look at it a different way: If the National Enquirer proved to be right about a real angel existing and being shot, don't you think the next story that broke about a real angel being shot is worth looking into past immediate dismissal? I'd probably still think their "Texas Woman's Son is Elvis Reincarnated" story was a bunch of garbage, though. But if they had another real angel story, my "hmm" light would come on.

Since you read it and posted the link, the page appears to have been mysteriously taken down and, in fact, the root - nationalenquirer.com - seems to be 'unavailable' too. I did find another site that gave some background on the story (in dreadful English) but it's not much to go on. I suspect that the story is basically fake ... at least, like you, I can't really see BO engaging in that sort of thing, so I rather hope it's fake, otherwise, what is the world coming to? They always say that there is 'no smoke without fire', so perhaps there has to be some factual basis but I suspect that entirely the wrong conclusions have been drawn.

I can still open it. I looked at the page you sited, that was interesting. I wonder if it is just the part of the world you are in. OBAMA CHEATING SCANDAL: SHOCKING NEW REPORTS Photo by: splash news online Reports out of Washington, DC: PRESIDENT OBAMA has been caught in a shocking cheating scandal after being caught in a Washington, DC Hotel with a former campaign aide. And now, a hush-hush security video that shows everything could topple both Obama's presidency and marriage to Michelle! A confidential investigation has learned that Obama first became close to gorgeous 35 year-old VERA BAKER in 2004 when she worked tirelessly to get him elected to the US Senate, raising millions in campaign contributions. While Baker has insisted in the past that "nothing happened" between them, reports reveal that top anti-Obama operatives are offering more than $1 million to witnesses to reveal what they know about the alleged hush-hush affair. Among those being offered money is a limo driver who says that he took Vera to a secret hotel rendezvous where the President was staying. On the condition of anonymity, the limo driver said he took Baker "from a friend's home in the DC area to the Hotel George where I learned later that Obama would be spending the night." The driver recalled that he "waited in the lobby while she went to change her outfit. "But to the best of my knowledge she did not have a room at the hotel and she was not staying there so I thought that it was a bit odd." The driver said he then picked up Obama at the airport and drove both he and Baker to various locations while he was campaigning for funds. Vera accompanied him to each meeting. "About 10:30 PM, I drove them to the hotel and they went in together!" "My services for the evening were done - and there was no indication she was going to leave the hotel that night." Analyzing the reports, a top DC insider said the driver's account had been independently corroborated by investigators who believe the couple spent the night together at the hotel. On-site hotel surveillance video camera footage may provide indisputable evidence. "Investigators are attempting to obtain a tape from the hotel (that) shows Vera and Barack together," the DC insider confided. "If the tape surfaces, it will explode the scandal." DEVELOPING STORY

oh that is hilarious. i love the sources - a limo driver clearly after a quick buck and the mysterious 'top insider'. and nothing included apart from speculation. top quality drivel.

Hi, laglen. I read this story, and it can't be true! No way! I would never think that Obama would mess around on Michelle! Why would he do this??? If he did.. This is just too shocking for me to just digest! The president and Vera Baker? C'mon, he has to be innocent! I don't know what to say. I just hope that this is very untrue.

I never paid any attention to the National Enquirer, but after the Edwards story, I've given them a second look. So I think there might be something to the story. AND YES, I believe Obama could have done something like that. What'll be interesting is if it's true if Michele "stands by her man", like Hillary did. The money and power is much too much to pass by for some... President or no President, if I found out my husband had/was cheating on me, I'd drop him, take the children, and take him for everything he's got.

I just HATE when that happens (someone makes me go look at tabloids)! My question is not if it's true...it's the National Enquirer, after all, the king of the tabloids that happened to get one scandal right in their long, storied history. What I'd like to know is where the heck is our prickly, rambling friend, the one that latches onto any bad story about our President, no matter how absurd? I'm genuinely worried about her because she hasn't weighed in on anything for days, let alone start any of her own compelling posts! Annie

Well, the National Enquirer was the ONLY paper that got the John Edwards story right. On the other hand - 2004? Who cares? I want to know where he was when he ditched the WH Press Corps a few weeks ago and disappeared for a couple of hours. Now, if they'd said this was a few weeks ago, I'd be really interested. Who knows, maybe the story's a plant so that Obama et al can claim that his enemies are really out to destroy him by spreading falsehoods, thus garnering sympathy and providing a good reason to censor the press and do away with that pesky first amendment?

I am not a huge fan of his either but I also did not think he was the sort of man to cheat on his wife, especially when they have young children. Not to mention he and Michelle seem to have a good relationship where they can joke around together and enjoy each other's company. I really hope it is just gossip and that it is not true. I am so sick of hearing about all these cheating men lately, and I always thought they had a good marriage and they have kids which would make it even sadder.

Now I'm really thinking about how it would play out... What if Obama was found to have a mistress? What if it was someone close to the family or in office!? For the sake of his children's dignity and overall well-being, I'm certainly not rooting for Obama to go have an affair, and I'm not saying I think he is or would. But it does make me wonder something: Whose side would the media take - Barack or Michelle's? They're both literally worshipped by the shills. I honestly couldn't tell you which I think they admire more if my life depended on it. Could an Obama/Michelle scandal mean a liberal media split? I was still a dumbsht little peon kid when the whole Clinton thing broke, so I don't remember much about how that was treated - other than some thinking it was the end of the world while others were shouting "It's only a Blow-j!" But I do know that the Clinton's weren't admired on this level. And Hillary definitely didn't compare to Michelle in any media's eyes. Wow. It could seriously rock the nation (at least the elitist portion).

It is my understanding that usurper O has been involved in many and varied cheating scandals, this Vera woman that supposedly Michelle had banished, 2 male choir members at Wright's church among them. It's not much of a stretch to find him capable of such, since he's now cheating on a whole country with obvious delight. Cheaters cheat, no surprise there, and O is no stranger to scandals of all kinds. He is a professional liar, has a seared conscience (quote alan Keyes), and is a man of little to no character.

Re the murder of the two choir members involved, I've been told this by some former Chicagoans. One of them is checking on the Chicago reports on the murders for me. Re the Enquirer, while we take things often with the proverbial grain of salt, we all must admit they were absolutely polished in their reporting of the John Edwards story. Given the fact that our MSM often incorrectly reports, or doesn't even bother to report some crucial stories, I'd say their (Enquirer) track record isn't as bad as some would make out. Either way, even some of the MSM has noted that Michelle "is very influential" in O's decision making. It is my opinion, I said OPINION, that she "rules the roost" around there, especially since his only real claim to citizenship of any kind in this country is through his marriage to her. I think many mylotters are also confusing the Enquirer with others of the genre, which are somewhat less credible. Anyway, no one should cheat or lie, but the fact that most people do also doesn't make it acceptable to do so. Frankly, I don't much care about that old report on O's cheating on his wife as much as I currently care about his cheating on our country just now. It's all just bad.

We should look at our lives when we are more wondering about celebrities and there problems. Face it no one is perfect and why do we care if the president is getting his funk on with someone else? The only one who should care is the one married to him. After all people cheat face it does this make him any different just because he is president no. It would surprise many if he was reported not to be cheating for face it we want to think the worse sordid things about those in the lime light. I say drop it and go on with our lives. Maybe we will be in that lime light one day and we will be making news. I think if Michelle is dealing with it or not it is her choice weather to forgive him if it happened or not. Who says only one side may be guilt you know both have the chance come on this is so childish. He is our president no matter if one voted or not. We should support him or impeach him if we no long like the job he is doing. Myself I did not vote for him all because of his stand on abortion. And if we would look back on it all maybe others voted for him for other reasons that may not of been true. If we really look at it maybe we all voted wrong or maybe the right candidate has not run yet. If we go on what if's in this world it will fall apart even faster then it is going now. Give it a rest. Private life is just that quit trying to be in it.

Sorry I don't believe the Inquirer or the limo driver. They are all in it for money. I don't think President Obama would do something like this to Michelle or his two girls. This is a bit far fetched and I think someone is trying to make Obama look bad so he can go down the same route that Bill Clinton did when they were impeaching him. I wish the National Inquirer would go away already. If people would stop buying their rag then they would be put out of business. I don't understand why anyone would waste their hard earned money on such garbage.

Yawn. The story's as heavy on claims as it is light on facts. When there's a grain of evidence, I'll believe there's a grain of truth. When there's solid evidence, I'll believe there's solid truth. Until then, the claim that "anti-Obama operatives" are offering a million dollars for dirt on an affair shows how desperate they are.
