A good Samaritan....

Nowadays, people are hesitant to show a good Samaritan attitude towards others. Is this concept still applicable today, have you seem one? The reason that exist today is people don't give alms because if they give others may abuse and become sluggard in their life. Is this Valid?

100% Valid. Good samaritans don't want to be good anymore. We don't help others anymore, as it gets really abusive at the end of the day. TATA.

I have learned that anyone can help themselves, but most are really to lazy, no offense.

It is more like many people are abusing the "kindness" of other people. I think since the government is not allowing/encouraging giving money to beggars and I agree with and instead of money we can give them food so we know it would be them who eats it or better report to DSWD (here) or any social welfare so they can be taken care of. If you are well of then giving them jobs is a better option. Even collecting plastic bottles can make them earn money so let them do some work.
