Do nuisance phone calls rule your life?

Do you like us, suffer from nuisance calls??? We don't have caller ID on our home phone, and so we can not know who is phoning, but the phone goes every ten minutes or so with people phoning to offer loans we don't want, or to ask us to partake in a survey, as if we want double glazing, ask if we are interested in a conservatory! Or just automated messages about Government issues!!
We have taken it so far as to not answer the phone, and if it is someone who needs us like my mum, she will leave a message and I call back! But usually when I do 1471 it is either no number or a number of a loan company or someone like that!!!
Do you ahve this problem too, and if you do, how do you deal with them?

They certainly do!!
I find them most annoying if I am expecting a call and then it's just one of hose stupid automated messages offering me money or kitchens or something.
I always used to be polite with the callers but I'm afraid I have got to be rather nasty lately, especially if they interrupt me watching Coronation Street!!!!!!

It was also our problem before so we had to change our phone number. I know it will be an inconvenience since you have to inform your friends and relatives about the new number but I would rather deal with that than having to be bothered with those prank callers.
