Are their any netbooks on the market they come with an internal 56k modem? I'm shopping for one on eBay, it it seems that the makers of these things have disregarded dial up connections as an option.

hi cb... why use 56K modem? You can get 3G Modem beneath in your netbook with Acer and other type too like HP. My brother use Acer AOAxxx with Qualcomm 3G Modem, sorry don't remember the serial. Mine had too as add-on supplement... but I choose non-modem type, and use usb modem.. happy mylotting

If you can't find any netbooks that has internal 56k modem, you can use an External USB 56k Modem instead. On the first place why you needed a netbooks with an Internal 56k modem if you gonna use this outside or to other places that has WIFI connections available of course your netbooks has a ready wlan connection. And if your just at home just plug the External USB 56k Modem for dial-up connections.

i think there is no notebook which you can find today with the modem as you are looking. as most of the places where people are looking for a notebook they are able to afford a broadband connection whether this is wired or wifi. i think that is the prime reason , but if you really want this only then you must go to the dell website and ask them to configure one for you.
