Or those with a Lefty in their Lives! Do You (Or they) Change the cutlery around on the table at mealtimes at home or in a Restaurant? I'm left handed myself, but have never found any advantage in reversing the conventional cutlery layout so as to eat with the fork in my right hand, and the knife in my left,(Although I would use the knife in my left hand to butter toast..)

yup i really consider being a lefty an advantage.. im a left handed to and i write things on the left and use my spoon on the left... except on basketball i use my right hand.. hehehe.. because in the past i only use my right hand on writing... but i have injured my right hand thats why i practiced my lefthand and i find it very easy to use... it is more advantageous if you use two hands...

Apparently we're susceptible to a higher risk of injury through using equipment designed for right handed users...

I'm not a lefty but I live with 2 and they, and I, both take most of the silver and pile them up on one side of the plate - I, on the right and they on the left I guess we just don't eat at fancy enough places...

So long as you're sociable enough to eat together, that's still good!

Interesting. I think all my lefty friends do change it so that they can use the fork in their left. I notice that they usually cut with their right (scissor-wise) because the scissors are usually for right hand only.

Maybe some are more lefty than others, while others might be more ambidextrous...

I have a special case. I'm only lefty when i write. All others, i'm right handed. It's cuz when i was a kid i used to copy my older brother. He's a lefty. Whenever he writes, i copy him that's why i got used to writing left-handed.

That's interesting..I'd heard of "Old School" schools way back that had "Methods" and punishments to prevent kids from using their left hand to write (Maybe I had more enlightened schools-never happened to Me!)..I think you must be maybe the first one I heard of that took it up that didn't need to! So You use cutlery the regular way, then?
