Do you know that the clip is completely staged, it's part of a viral campaign they were hoping to use to drum up interest in their next movie together. I don't know whether the plans were to make it look like a proper accident or for it to look as fake as it does. Which ever no doubt a lot of people will end up watching it because people will find it either funny, like the fact that Cruise takes a beating or just to see how fake it looks and so it will do it's job of raising awareness for the new movie. I must admit I prefer Cruise in his younger days in the likes of Risky Business and The Color of Money, but I would still watch a new Cruise movie because they are usually enertaining in one way or another.
