Do you enjoy playing mind games.. Which would be your favourite type of mind game to play, would it be crossword puzzles, word search, or maybe sudoku. Perhaps there are other types of mind games that you enjoy playing. I ask this question because being here in myLot is all about words, descriptions, etc, so I guess many members also enjoy playing mind games or puzzles like the ones I have mentioned. I good crossword can keep me amused for many hours, there's always one word that I can never get LOL. Are you any good at crosswords....

Your both right, it really does help keep the old brain cells ticking-over I always need to keep a good dictionary and thesaurus with me when I'm doing crossword puzzles. I can say the word no problem but my spelling can really let me down. Some people think using a thesaurus is cheating, I just think it helps to expand my vocabulary and mind Happy puzzling....

My mom used to do the NY Times crossword in pen. Myself, I'm not so good at crosswords, but I do like puzzles. Nope, not sudoku either, too much like math. But I do logic puzzles and crostics and all sorts of things (not so much lately)...

best for me not to try and complete a crossword in pen as I always make a mistake somewhere. You can always rub out pencil. Your right sudoku is a little to close to mathematics, thats probably why I'm not to hot with them. What is crostics ? if you dont mind me asking.

I think my game of choice would be crossword puzzles. I really only play them on long trips or on planes to keep me amused. I have never learned to play Sudoku but I have several friends that love it.

I enjoy playing mind games and puzzles when I have spare time or, like yourself if I am on a long trip. Staring out the window of a bus or a train is not the most exciting of things to do, and time just drags when you do this. Especially when you have seen the same streets, houses or fields over and over again, LOL. Time flys when your having fun...

Yup, I simply love them. I just love playing mind games like crossword, sudoku, word search, memory based games, word construction (jumbled words) etc. There are many different formats of them, I love playing them, especially if they come in a single package, like brainiversity, brain challenge etc. However, these games are just what I play when I like to change my mood. So, I am not that good at these games. But, there is one mind game that I simply love and cannot avoid playing regularly and that is Chess. However, in chess also, I am not a very good player. Having defeated chess titans level 9 many times, I am yet to defeat level 10. I hope I will do it soon.

Hi there, Chess is a board game I have not played in many years, since I was at school actually. It is a great strategy game which I greatly enjoyed. I was even in the chess club at school, but, beleive me that does not mean I was any good at it. I lost interest in playing chess when I left school as there was not that many people who played. I know you can play chess solo, ie. against a computer microchip, but that really takes away the human side of the challenge for me, so it's not much fun. I may trying getting back into playing the game as it was good for the braincells, always having to think x amount of moves forward from your oppenent etc. I still have a chess set, but I bet there is a piece or 2 missing now, it's been along time. Have a good day 'mate' .

Yup, you are right. Playing against computer is nothing compared to the interest generated by playing against human. Actually, from my initial days into chess, I played against my cousins, friends etc. for nearly 3 years. In that course, I played over thousand games, and remember getting beaten only thrice (I don`t know how coz I aint that good). However, now everybody else is busy in his life, I don`t get anybody to play with. So, I just play against computer coz I cannot just resist it.

Hello there, Sudoku does seem to be a very popular choice with myLot members, judging by the responses I have received to this topic. Like I have mentioned earlier , I do play it but it's not my most favourite game. Probably because I'm not very good at it. Have a happy day...

I love Sudoku, puzzles and word search. Though Sudoku is one of my very favorite. I have bought books of sudoku and I play them at home and once its over I do it again and again. I even play on the Internet and got lots of sudoku portable on my laptop. I adore Srabble too which takes time to play but I love playing that with my dad.

I like mind games a lot. I have been playing sudoko and others that come in daily news paper. I also play some online puzzle games. There are many mind blender games that I like. Crossword has never been one of my interest. I hardly try to solve any of it. One of the reasons being that I don't like words as much as numbers. I usually play games which need mathematical problems or some logical problems.

I like crossword puzzles. It is a perfect way of killing boredom. Answering those puzzles make us not realize how time pass... It is also a good way of exercising our brain, thinking skill... MAkes us more sharper. And best of all we can play that alone and anytime... all we need is the puzzle and pen. Scramble is also a nice game.

Hello l_m , Scrabble is just one of those games I could never get into, as much as I enjoy letter and word games. I could never get to grips with the rules, ie. triple word score, swopping tiles etc. Maybe I should try playing this word puzzle game again, reading and understanding the rules completely would probably be a big help. LOL Take care and have some fun...

i think i would choose sodoku , because i prefer solving numbers rather than words. And also i tend to look at the dictionary when i play crossword puzzle because my vocabulary is not wide, and i'm not into remembring hard words. So i would choose sodoku cause it's just my logic working, it's all in the power of my mind.. Have a nice day..

Hello, I'm not to good at Soduko, using my powers of elimination and numbers just dont mix with me. I do try my best to figure them out but I just seem to loose concentration and get bored. I have many friends who are big fans of Soduko and they will spends alot of time working out the combinations. Each to their own I suppose. Give me a good crossword anyday of the week. Have fun with numbers...

I love logic problems and also scrabble, but my favorite mind games I play with men lol. I suck at crosswords I usually have to find more than half the answers before I can finish, but I love them.
