What you should know about HYIP sites

At one point in my life time I ran a surf and HYIP monitor, I also had a small HYIP site that I ran myself, at that point time, there was a lot of real estate and construction going on, so my HYIP was based for a 1 year investment people would get back their cash and interest which at that point was 100% of the investment. We did good for 2 years, then I told people don't invest anymore, I would pay them all what they were owed and I was closing the HYIP site. Since the construction business, and real estate was slowing down.
But I also had to invest in many HYIP sites because of me running a monitor site, I found out after 2 years it wasn't worth the time, or the money. I lost a good $500 just putting $1 to $2 into each new HYIP site that came out. Why?
Because 99% of HYIP sites are scams. In fact I have seen many scammers boasting about it in forums. They also would come by the monitor site, and laugh at people that said it was a scam. Most HYIP sites at that time were being run by people from China and India, people would run when they saw whom owned these places, because they knew it was a scam.
Some of the con artists, really go all out of their way to do what they do, in fact one told about how they bought a new computer rented a hotel room and used the free internet service from there, just to run scam sites. This way they wouldn't be caught. In total they stole over $500,000 in one week from people.
They pay the first 25 cash outs, usually small amounts, feel lucky if you are one of them, because normally the first 10 to 15 accounts paid are fake, or friends.
The rules of HYIP investing:
1) Never deposit more then $2 in any HYIP site
2) If the cash out shows mostly the same names run and don't invest.(Check latest payouts.)
3) Do some research on who owns it
4) Don't trust most monitor sites, they are paid to put good info up.(I had a few offers myself but denied all of them)
5) If you do get paid, do not invest for a second time.
6) Old rule of thumb, if it sounds to good to be true it usually is.
7) Normally you can tell by looking at user names, check them and see if they are letters and numbers jumbled up, if so run. They are fake accounts.
I hope this helps any newbies that are thinking of investing in HYIP sites.
