Everyone's a Doctor

I opened my Facebook today and found a comment about my cousin being sick with the sniffies, immediately after a few seconds of her posting it a reply came from a colleague of hers stating that she should take vitamin C.
On another occasion, my uncle who's a doctor would tell us that when a golf mate would ask him about a health question or two, their other golf buddy would answer that question.
I think it's innate for us to advise someone something. We all have ideas or experiences that we'd like to share to someone most especially about health. It's baffling however that most doctors don't really react to that unless they are asked.
It's actually not just about doctors though, I think it happens to all sorts of profession. I have a friend who's a civil engineer specializing on high rise buildings but her mom would answer any question as to construction. hehehehe..
Have you encountered and wondered why we are like this?

LOLOLOLOL! I am a nurse for real! I see this so much. Alot of the advice is healthy but doesnt do much as a cure. It will ease your symptoms or so you think. I am a private nurse. Meaning that I work in the homes of patients whose families are willing to take on the responsibility of a sick family member. The daughter of one of my patients thinks she's the doctor. She also tells the doctor's what to do. However, I must admit that with her badgering and insinuation, her mother has exceeded the medical expectations that were put out. Sometimes its helpful. Other times you can put people in danger. You must remember that medications dont agree with everybody and what worked for you may kill someone else. Here I go! I dont even realize I do it. Im always trying to give advice. I am going to be just like my mother and grandmother when I grow up. OMG! I AM MY MOTHER!!!! dl

I think this is the first time I realized that Im not the kid. IM MY MOTHER! She was the type to give you the lecture on whatever the subject may be. I remember when we started to have sleepovers. LOL Everything was scabies!lol Im surprised I havent grown up with OCD of washing my hands. She was adamant about not catching scabies. If you dont know scabies are like body lice. They get them alot at camps. It goes away with a lotion. My mom was a scabie war hero. We never got them but we did get the full body checks at bath time. MY mom really was a weirdo. Im going to call her right now! Come on I cant be alone here. AM I?

guilty to this, LOL! maybe it's because we're all really problem solvers deep inside. like when you hear a problem about a leaking faucet, and you've had experienced the same problem before and had solved the problem or had someone solve it under your watch, that memory surfaces and you give an advice about that leaking faucet.
it happens more often when it comes to being sick because it is a problem that is a common occurence in people. we all have had headaches, coughs, fever, cuts, bruises, etc. so when somebody says he's got something, we immediately think of that remedy that we have tried before or that someone else has tried
