Anyone know what is going on with Sestak?

Joe Sestak has reportedly said someone in the white house admin offered him a job NOT to run against Spector. Well he decide to run against Spector anyway. But now members of congress (and the rest of us in this country) are wondering what happened. Sestak and the white house are pretty closed lipped on it now. Neither side saying who may have talked to Sestak. Some in congress are calling for a special investigation. What do you think? I think we should know what happened. Either Sestak is a liar and needs to be exposed as one...It is a serious thing to accuse someone of a FELONY. If he is lying about that...he needs to be confronted about it. Or someone in the white house actually did offer him the job NOT to run...which means a FELONY has been committed and now Sestak and the white house are try to cover it up.
What do you think should happen? Should it be investigated? Who do think is guilty...Sestak of lying...or a white house admin of interfering with an election?

Either way, this is going to hurt him with voters. So he probably won't win against Spector anyway. If Sestak is the liar, then why in the world did he reenter the race? He has lost now. There is essentially no point in him running. If he is not, then the there should definitely be an investigation into the matter. As far as who is guilty, I think they both are by default. The White House for not immediately conducting an investigation into the matter and Sestak for not picking a side and sticking to it. But the damage has been done to Sestak and this most probably has completely ruined his chances against Spector. Which I guess in the end was the whole point, that Spector keep his seat. Either way, Congress should immediately launch an investigation into the matter.

Yeah, he pulled a massive win over Spector after being way behind. I think to some degree this issue helped him. If he doesn't cooperate and give a full account of what happened though, it could hurt him against Toomey as he only has a slight lead right now.

Sorry, have not been keeping up on this particular race. I missed that he beat Spector. I still think that is at the very least a credibility issue at stake here that voters should look into more. Still, there should be an immediate investigation into these allegations.

Everyone is being tight-lipped about this, because it is very serious. I see it as a parallel to not wanting to take the stand against Tony Soprano.
I think Robert Gibbs' 18 (literally) "I have nothing further to say about that" comments when asked about it, speak loud enough about this situation.
I would like to point out that this probably has something to do with the health care bill as well. During those "closed door" negotiations before the bill, would it be that surprising that a politician from Chicago would tell a relatively moderate Mr. Specter that if he voted for the health care bill he would take care of his Democratic opponent? It was speculated the whole time that this is what was happening, I think we have our answer.
It's just too bad that it's going to end up being someone low level who's going to take the fall for this, instead of the real culprits behind it.

Actually Senator Specter was for the health care bill all along, in fact he was for a public option so he didn't need to be coerced into voting for it. Also, your timeline is wrong since this job offer allegedly took place BEFORE Sestak officially announced his intentions to run.

To my knowledge, no new info has come out on this issue. I would reserve judgment until AFTER the investigation that I am just sure is in the works. haha positive thinking eh?

The dems in congress don't look like they are going to call an investigation on this...unless the republicans make major wins in November and can get supeana power back...I don't see this going anywhere at all...unless we the people DEMAND answers on it.

It is very serious. I'm very disappointed in the people who choose to ignore it lke it's no big deal. Either Sestak is a liar who made the accusation for political gain (the I'll stand up to Obama bit), or Obama committed a felony, an impeachable offense, in order to control the primaries.

You are very right. This is very serious. Either way we need to know the truth of it. Either Sestak is a show boating liar and needs to be publicly shown as one...or Obama and his admin committed felonies and need to held accountable for it.
I don't want this swept under the carpet. I want an investigation.

I definately think it needs to be investigated. And I suspect Sestak isn't lying...he just didn't know he wasn't suppose to tell anybody when a felony is being committed. Or maybe, corruption is so bad, none of them knew it was a felony...isn't that how politics go in Chicago, Illinois and now the White House?

It looks like it is going to get swept under the carpet....which I don't want to happen. I want to know...who is telling the truth. Sestak is saying that the white house admin committed a very serious crime. That needs to be looked into.
