my mother was sick that day and she asked me to buy her a medicine for her and she told me to buy it in a generic pharmacy.. i went to the first pharmacy i saw not remembering where my mother told me to buy and when i got home she asked me the receipt so that she can return my money i used to buy and she got mad cos she saw the price of the medicine and she told me its not from a generic pharmacy.. now i know generic medicines are much cheaper than branded medicines but i am not sure if the effect are the same.

i beleive its just the same... you are actually paying for the brand name of those other medicines.. although my med rep friend said that they focused much on research that is why the product is pricey than generics.. :)

It all depends on our mind set. Some people think it cheap to go for generic medicines as they are cheap and not having good packing. And some have blind faith on branded items.A doctor's prescription is the good judgement. So,consult the doctor for its real value.

Generics are as good as branded medicines.I have taken them several times and have hardly noticed a difference. The company manufacturing generics has to be verified and we can buy them if they are manufactured by a good one.My physician prescribes generics most of the time and they are cost effective.
