Why is this happening?

We've had Verizon FiOS for years now - ever since it was first available in our area. We have the whole package - TV, phone, internet. And we just recently got a DVR player - which I just LOVE! The last couple days, some strange things have been happening. Every once in a while, the sound will kinda blip in and out on the TV. Sometimes we have to change the channel and then change it back again to get the sound going again. I don't know what's causing it, but it sure is a pain in the behind. Since I've gotten my laptop, I have a strange thing happening. Whenever the phone rings, I lose my internet connection on the laptop for a few seconds. I've never noticed it on the desktop, so it may be the laptop. But it's just strange. Anyone else have this kinda thing going on with Verizon FiOS?
