As quite a few of you know, I have been trying my best to de-clutter since just before I moved from Mackay to the Sunshine Coast back in October 2008...Every time we move & every few months or so, I will go through the boxes we have in the shed to see what we haven't used & what we don't need etc...I have come across a small box of shells that I collected at St Helens beach just north of Mackay about 5 years ago...I did plan on giving them to my mom but she passed away...they are very pretty & my hubby has suggested that maybe I should clean them & put them in our fish tank...what do you suggest I do with them?

Could you possibly make a small collage, with pictures of your family, using the shells as borders and frames?
That is what I think I would do with a shell collection, of course the fish tank is a novel idea as well.
Sincerely and With Appreciation.

Well, you can start turning them into beautiful crafts. You can get a piece of mirror, glue it to a board and start decorating the edges with the shells. You can keep it natural or color the shells. Also, you can glued the shells to a lamp shade and earn yourself a nice shells decorated lamp. If not, you can link them with string and make one of those door curtain.
