I think that Charla Adrian is going too far. My kids had to learn Spanish way back in the eighties. Most kids have to take a foreign language in order to graduate. I really don't understand her objection. What better way for the kids to learn both the Pledge and English and Spanish. Yes I know that the official language is English and I think that Any one living here should speak English, but it takes time too. I really think this is a tempest in a tea pot.

Mixed emotions on this one. If it would have been high school students I would say no way. I would say its a start but I don't like the idea that English speaking students should be forced to learn it in Spanish and I also think that they need to be learning it in English also.

I would be ripping my kids out of school if they did that! This is America.. not Mexico or any other spanish speaking country. You want to speak Spanish, then go to the countries that speak it and get the heck out of here. We speak English... learn it or go home!

We are in the US still right? Our language is English right? The pledge was written in english right? The pledge was written in the US right? So why the heck would you teach it to them in Spanish?
This makes no sense to me. I mean really. Shouldn't they worried about teaching them how to read, write, math, science...you know the IMPORTANT stuff.
Don't get me wrong. I do think the pledge is important and should to taught to every American child...but in OUR language..not a foreign language.
