This is a shot of the first zuchinni growing this year for me.
I have 2 varieties planted.
One green zuchinni plant, and 4 yellow zuchinnis planted.
I have no idea as to the taste variance between them if there is any.
Do you know if there's much difference between the 2 varities as far as flavor, texture etc?

hi Grandpa Bob To me I could not find any real taste difference but I think that the yellow zucchinis need just a little less cooking time
as they have a tendency to fall all apart easier than the green ones. I
really like both kinds. I know you really don't
need to cook them very long if you want to get the best flavor.

Okay.
They will be used mostly for bread is why I wondered about the taste difference. Thanks bunches.

I bought zellow zuchinni seeds to plant this year because it seems to me that the skin is softer. I make lots of raw zuxhinni salads so it´s better if they are not as tough. And if they cook faster, I´ll be saving in gas too
. I learned to eat cooked, halved zuchinnis with mayo once I planted too much. They are as good as asparagus and a lot cheaper
.
Take care!

There's not much difference in flavor between the two. Sort of like yellow bell peppers taste like red bell peppers taste like green bell peppers (to me, anyway).

Hi, GB! I think I've heard of yellow zucchini, but I don't know that I've seen it. I would imagine that it tastes quite a bit like green zucchini the same way that yellow squash tastes quite a bit like zucchini.
I had wanted to plant zucchini this year now that we have a yard, but it didn't happen. I have two tomato plants and four pepper plants. Just planted 8 watermelon seeds hoping they'll sprout and survive our cat this time. We shall see!!

Hey Grandpa Bob! I always wondered what the difference was
between the two myself! I love zuchinni! I personally can't
tell the difference in the taste either! I mostly buy the
green zuchinni because they seem to be more plentiful in
the produce, but have bought yellow and just don't really
see much difference except I think the green is a bit heartier.
But, I am not the veggie person, you are! So, what do you think?
