You can watch Obama's speech here
http://video.foxnews.com/v/4241191/obamas-oval-office-address
In my opinion -
Obama presented a luke warm do nothing speech regarding the oily mess in the Gulf. With out even having the oil stopped, Obama has been spending time and resources on placing blame. Now with the whole world watching for some kind of leadership, he offers up his cap and tax ideas. Now more than ever, we must tax nature.
He immediately tried to take credit for being there since day one, although people in the affected region have no idea who is in charge. He took credit for approving Bobby Jindals barrier Islands that took a month for a partial approval and that he could get NO help from the government but that BP is paying for.
“We consume more than 20% of the world's oil, but have less than 2% of the world's oil reserves. And that's part of the reason oil companies are drilling a mile beneath the surface of the ocean, because we're running out of places to drill on land and in shallow water.” Interesting, I say lets ask the oil companies, I bet they know a few good places to drill.
Not only did Obama show no redeemable leadership qualities, even his pets on MSNBC are loosing the thrill down their legs!
What is your opinion?

My opinion of the great deciever, monster usurper remains the same and sickens me each day his backside is sitting illegally in the WH.
He is a smarmy, evil, arrogant liar who deserves the penalty for treason.
But, you see, he is our leader; every day he is not removed he leads us toward self-destruction, in his gloating, jihadist way. That is his mission, to ensure a post-american world and our scummy congress and courts are allowing him to do so with impunity and support. It's all too sick to believe.
And, no, I will never watch any speech teleprompter man gives. Any time I see his face, I want to wretch; he is toxic.

Did you honestly expect anything different???.
I am very suspicious about the "fund" Obama wants BP to set up to alleviate the expenses suffered by the people/businesses in the areas caused by the oil spill. I could almost see the dollars sign in Obama's eyes when he insisted that these funds (billions? of dollars )would not be administered by BP but by an independent third party!!!! I am sure that independent party will be one controlled by Obama and his greedy administration who will have so much red tape in place that it will be almost impossible for claimants to get their claims paid and the funds will end up in Obama and his bandits pockets.

I didn't watch the speech last night, because I can't stand to watch this guy any more. BUT, just for you, I watched the video...well most of it. I quit watching when he started talking about the cap and tax energy bill. What he said doesn't coincide with what's been happening/reported...most of it untruths...ok...lies. I don't believe they (the Feds) have yet got their act together 50+ days in to this disaster. I had read/viewed a couple of MSNBC clips/videos and already knew that some of those reporters were less than happy with the President's speech...maybe, the thrill is gone and we might start getting some unbiased reporting now...
