Is It Possible That Discussions Can Be Deleted Even Before They Appear?

Only two of my three discussions came up on screen today and I cannot understand why. It has happened twice in just a few hours (the two discussions weren't the same) so I was wondering if that has been happening to you this week?
It is possible that I forgot to click the Submit button but twice? I don't think so.
If the content was unsuitable (again, I doubt this) could the two discussions be deleted by Admin even before they appear on screen?

i am answering this discussion as there are discussions deleted(not mine) but sometimes you wonder why. You respond to a discussion and you cannot see anything contentious or alarming about it, but later when you go back to it, it has been deleted. most strange, I do sometimes wonder about the mylot admin. plus they have got an administrator who actually starts discussions off or replies to them as well.

On Alice's advice I've restarted the discussions and they've worked this time. Hoorah!

As owlwings has said, it's possible but highly unlikely. While in some cases I have deleted discussions within seconds of them being posted, I don't think that's what happened to you at all. I think you experienced a glitch. Please try to post your missing discussion again!

Hello there! I will do that forthwith as they are still stored in my head which is rare for me as they usually disappear if they're not extracted straight away.

that might have been a browser burp.
sometimes it sticks and doesn't save it,more often in windows IE.

If it was content (ie four letter words), you'd get a message. And if it was deleted by Admin, you'd get an e-mail. So I'm going to go with the majority and guess that it was a glitch.

I think there is an occassional gremlin in the mylot system as although I've never had it happen on a new discussion, I don't post enough to notice, I have had it happen when responding to a discussion with my comment disappearing when I submit it. It's most likely a technical thing with too many connections trying to be made to the database causing it to lose the occassional transmission.

I'll try not to let it bother me as it would've annoyed me more if I hadn't had any other discussions in my head to burst forth onto the site. Those are there, fortunately...like this one for example!
