Searching for discussions - anyone having trouble?

I am trying to search for discussions - just to make sure I'm not making any duplicate posts, as well as to find things to discuss that I'm actually interested in.. And I am having literally no luck with searching through the "discussions" tab. It's frustrating - I only get the sponsored links, but no discussions.
I'm wondering if my computer is failing me (like it usually does) or if anyone else has been having this problem? Any solutions?

To be honest, i am growing frustrated with the new search bar that doesn't lead you into anything right now. although i have earned mylot reward twice already, i didn't like the idea of looking into nothing. i don't want to duplicate another discussion and that's why search is important, but what's the use of search bar if you can't any topic. i think this is a problem that should be addressed to the admin.

This discussion is a bit old, but thanks for your response (yes, this thank-you is WAY belated). The search works fine, now, so it must have been an issue fixed by admin. Thank goodness, otherwise I would probably gone crazy not able to search for interesting discussions to respond to! Thanks!

hi maezee! Do you use the exact keywords that you wanted to get here in mylot search engine? and it must be under discussions not under web or tasks or blog....
Oh! I tried to search under discussions... just sponsored links too... I think there is a problem in mylot...not from your computer or mine...

yeah portisray, ever since this mylot reward, it seems that you won't see any similar discussions when ever you search them. as for me, i have tried it again today but i didn't see any similar onces because the one in the sponsor links.i hope the admin can take a few checks on the search engine here.

I normally use the search feature here at myLot to look for discussions to respond to when there's none at the main page that piqued my interest. And for the last couple of days, I had the same experience as you. When I entered a search term, the returned results is not what I expected. There were many sponsored links but nothing in the results section just the word Next Page.
I don't know if myLot is undergoing maintenance but when I tried to search the Web, the search results display normally and some of them included discussions available here at myLot. So I guess you have to choose Web to search for discussions at myLot too. I don't know if this is permanent or temporary. I hope it's temporary because that's the only way for me to look for relevant discussions in my interests.
