A friend of mine who previously work at the bank told me that, the cost of a customer over withdraw their balance only about $0.70 to $0.90 to the bank. But the bank would charge you for over $30 for the penalty? That is a huge rip - off deal. Some of them defend themselves, that is way to teach your guys not to overspend what you have. But still, we are the customers, you can't just rip us off like that, over 30 times. So, regularly check your balance, and don't overspend it.

I went over on mine just this past week by only 17 cents. The bank gave me 5 days to get the money into my account before giving me a $35 overdraft charge. I don't know if they always do that at my bank of if they did it because it was such a low amount. I have never been overdrawn before there.

That is outrageous, isn't it. To better protect yourself, check your balance regularly, and keep a better knowing of what you standing at financially. Otherwise, you are just about to get ripped off from your own bank.
