Have you ever had out of body experience? If so, how did it happen and how was it? I've heard in many cases people see their astral and real bodies are connected with silver cord or something similar. I wonder what happens if the cord breaks...
The best way to check if your astral travel was indeed real and not just a dream is to go to some area you've never been before or memorize some thing you don't usually notice. Then after you awake, you can check to confirm it.
I've heard that the easiest way to get into astral state is during falling asleep. So I tried it yesterday and it was pretty funny. I was aware all the way until I fell asleep and all I was thinking about was astral travel. Then I managed to get out in my astral body and started walking around the house. I didn't want to get too far away from my body the first time so I just stayed in the house and memorized the order of some books in my old room. When I woke up, I was so exited and instantly ran to confirm it and the order was exactly the same. And then I woke up again, this time for real. It was just a lucid dream with false awakening and I couldn't help but laugh at myself. I'll try it again tonight haha.
I also tried with idoser. It's bineural sound drug that simulates OBE but I just felt like I'm floating above my bed in my real body and couldn't move or do anything. Not too exciting...
I hope to hear some interesting experiences from you.

Not sure if I understand correctly... You mean you started seeing through horse's eyes? Or...?

I have only had out of body experiences in my dreams. In most of my dreams I am watching myself do things, it is like playing a third person view game. When I meditate I have a sensation that I am out of my body and area, but I do not see anything, but I feel it.
One time in my dream I actually woke up, but stayed in my dream and realized I was in my dream, after about 1 year of trying to remember to try to do this in my dreams. It was the greatest experience i have ever had, but the feeling seemed to only last a single minute in my dream. In my dream I was running, and I couldn't get going fast enough, and i felt like I was running through jello, or that something was holding me back. Then I remembered that this always happens in my dreams, so that I must be dreaming. Then I kind of half realized I was dreaming, and then so I could start running very fast, taking about what it seemed 50 feet strides, sort of floating in the air. Then I knew I was definitely dreaming, because I usually jump really high in my dreams. And in that moment everything became crystal clear, literally. You know when in your dreams everything is all foggy and fuzzy? Well, after I woke up everything was clear like it was real life. Then I did what I always wanted to do in my dream, I was flying in the air. It was great, I just flew any direction in the air that I wanted. But it lasted only what I think felt like a minute, and then everything went all grey and fuzzy, and that is what I saw until I woke up. It was a very strange but enjoyable experience.

I love lucid dreams. Used to have them a lot but not much lately. Shame they are always so short and I experience sleep paralysis after almost every lucid dream.

Mine was pretty common, I was in extreme labor pain and had been for many hours, all of a sudden I was across the room looking at my body which was screaming. The next time was when I had gone into shock from an allergic reaction and again I was outside my body looking at it. These have been the extent of my experiences.

So extreme pain can cause out of body experience? Didn't know that but it makes sense.
