Can looks really be deceiving?

I for one believe this. I have met a lot of people I thought was bad but turned out okay and their were one's who I thought was good but turned out not as what I expected.
How about you guys?

Hate to say this but there's truth in it. Looks can be deceiving. It's like judging a book by its cover. But just how long does one take to realize that the cover is not what the book is actually or vice versa. I'm not good in this. I've trusted people too easily and ended up I shouldn't.
