What happens when government "handles" things

In Venezuela, where Hugo Chavez has seized more and more of the private sector, including the food industry, have not only proven they are ineffective, but are wasteful as well. Chavez has been raiding and pillaging to refill his coffers. The Chavez admisitration accuses private businesses of hoarding food. They raid and confiscate the food to resell (yes resell) the food to the poor at a discounted rate. After finding 80,000 tons of rotting food in government warehouses, Chavez's troops are out pillaging again. You can read more here, http://www.cnbc.com/id/37786852 What do you think of Chavez taking the food then wasting it. How would you feel about the US government doing that?

I'd be in favor of someone covertly taking out Chavez too. I can't believe the people voted him in and have let him take over the country little bit by little bit by bigger bit... I see revolution at some point. People can only take so much before enough is enough. I can see something like this happening in many countries, to include the U.S. That's why we must speak up when we're moving down the left lane...which we're currently doing at a hefty pace. Hopefully, it'll slow down...and reverse...in November.

Chavez is why Venezuela is a mess and I'm not surprised by this or anything else he does. He's a crook who cares nothing about his people. I would feel the same way if this were happening in the U.S.

I agree with your assessment of Chavez. What scares me is what is happening here. Ya know, the White House says since China has control of their internet, our president should too. Scary!

Isn't this monster a good buddy and colleague of the monster in chief? Sick and evil minds think alike and "high-five" each other. Evil is as evil does and I would put nothing past O, who already thinks he owns the world and we all OWE him and the lovely (America is a mean country) Michelle. By definition, such evil and lawlessness are waste and deadly. The "antichrist" spirit is alive and well in both dictators. Foretaste of things to come in the perhaps near future.

That is what I see. You give an inch, they take a mile until they are holding our food, and deciding what is ok to see say and hear.
