Does the word DORMITORY mean DIRTY ROOM?

I read an article last week that Dormitory comes from the anagram of Dirty Room because it means the same thing, only that it refers to a building or structure that house transient occupants for a fee. What do you think?

i don't like dormitories myself..i still prefer to go home to my house everyday..but then my sister went to a dormitory when she was in college and i got a chance to visit her there and i can say that maybe it depends on who are you staying with in the room..because even if you are too clean with your things but your roommate is messy then it will still be a dirty room..so i guess i can suggest that dormitory means dirty room..
