What if a alien species took over our world? I mean I don't know why any other world would want to as things stand right now in this world but what if it did? What type of things would you want to hide from themand not let them know about? What things would you feel proud that they know about? Why?

hmm interesting question. I wonder if there would be anything we could hide from them if they were advanced enough to take over our world? I would like it if we could share knowledge and experience rather than be taken over, so they could visit and be treated like honoured guests and maybe we could visit with them in return but that's pretty far fetched isn't it? We are far too suspicious and protective a race on the whole, to ever truly accept that beings from another planet or galaxy could wish us no harm. I think that partly comes from being aware of how scientists would want to experiment on them to find out how they work and think and science often hurts in those conditions so we can't imagine that they wouldn't want to do the same to us... Of course the science fiction films and stories that we are exposed to help to propogate that myth as well - think War of the Worlds, Signs, (I'd rather think it would be more like Contact but really am quite glad that we're unlikely to find out in my lifetime) :) It's an intriguing topic though isn't it? I'd also want to hide my family and my pets from them until I was more aware of their intentions if it was possible to to that. I would be proud for them to see some of the good things that come from the human spirit like charitable works and communities that work to support the weakest amongst them. Although they often don't get much kudos, for me those kindnesses and that kind of working together against the odds and winning sometimes scenarios are the essence of humanity

I'd like to go to a safe and secure place so that i'm not captured by them.I'd like to hide most of my books and valuables from them.I feel the moment they descend on earth they'll feel we are fairly advanced though nit as much as them.I think the human species should be quite proud of the technical advancement of the past 400 years or so.

I feel the safe way. I would atleast like to feel safe away from them until I know better what they have planned.

celticeagle I would be proud to show them mylot and my computer and monitor but I would want to hide the fact that a lot of intelligent 'people here smoke too much and drink too much. Those are not things i would want an alien to know about us. I am proud to be on mylot and proud that I know how to use my computer and my monitor at my age'while so many older women refuse to learn how to use one at all.But the thing' that baffles me is why would we think they knew less than we do, maybe they would be way more advanced than we are.sad to think that.

I don't think they would necessarily be more intelligent but they would want to assimilate any knowledge we have. To learn about us. Know what I mean? You should be proud that you have chosen to learn how to use the computer and all at your age. Good for you!

Well, in order for an alien species to take over our world, they would have to fight us for it, so I'm sure that my family and I would be in on that fight. If we survived and they took over, the most important things that I would want to keep hidden from them would be any weapons and ammo that we had left. As far as being proud to let them know about something...I don't believe that I would like them very much so I wouldn't be thinking along those lines.

So fighting is the only way you see that they can take over our world? And nothing to be proud of? Sad.
