Just wanted to share this with my cat-loving friends: http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/afp/100625/oddities/britain_health_cat No, it's not a video. It's a news story about how a British veterinarian has fitted a cat who lost her back feet with implants that allow her to move about normally.

Hi Barbara~ I have to tell you that I was honestly afraid to read this article because everytime I see something like this I get upset and cry. But, I am so thankful that I read this and was amazed at what these surgeons were able to do to make this cat's life just about "normal" again! Oscar is one lucky cat! That surgery is totally incredible! And it is being done on humans too! Thank you so much for sharing such a heartwarming story! God Bless you little sweet Oscar! (He looks alot like my sweet cat Star too!)

That is great isn’t it? Oscar can function normally now. It would be interesting to know how much the operation cost the owners! It is better than prosthetics that can be taken off which clearly would not be practical for an animal but a good breakthrough for people as well! Oscar is beautiful and I’m so glad he’s been given a new lease on life!

I'm glad they were able to come up with something for her. More and more animals are put down when something like this happens, and its sad. I'm glad this cat has had a better chance at a real life.

Aww, that's so cool. It's nice that people gave him a second chance to be able to walk around and all. It almost makes you proud to have people who make prosthetics around.
