Have you tried serenading someone you love? Me and my buddies have this "disastrous" experience when we tried to serenade friend's girlfriend. He talks to us one day about this idea. He said that he wants to do something sweet for his girlfriend. And so we agree after he offers some bribes
.
And the night for the serenading came. Her girlfriend sent him a text message that she's at home watching some show in the television. Then we came. We started singing immediately. After we finished a song she didn't came out. Only one of her sisters came out. We asked where she was and she told us she's not at home. She's with her friends having a girl's night out! My friend was really pissed about that. She lied and our efforts were wasted. He wanted to confront his girlfriend but we calmed him down and we just go out for a drink. We made sure he drank a lot so he'll be so drank he'll have to go to sleep. We don't want him doing something stupid.

Thanks for putting a little smile on my face. That was indeed disastrous. As a girl, of course I haven't experienced serenading my someone - the traditional way, that is - nor I have experienced being serenated. I just sing to my man until he gets annoyed but I always fail. Luckily, he hasn't shown a sign of annoyance yet - haha. Good thing there are still guys who stick to the tradition which means more than what the usual kabataans (youth) today. For them, it's so easy to say I love yous and it's so easy to do things only serious ones should do. How is he now, by the way? =)

They had a big fight after that incident. But they patched things up so they are okay until now. I don't know the reason why the girl didn't tell my friend she go out but at least they are okay now.

Hi Juggerogre,
Maybe she did realize what you guys were there for and just wanted to watch her show. Could that be it? Was he out there with you? Or maybe she just doesn't appreciate romance? I had a guy sit in the store where I work one night. He had his guitar and he sang me some beautiful music. More than the music, it was the gesture. It was sweet and I did end up going out with him. Your friend should talk this over with her before getting all worked up. There could be a logical explanation.

She did go out with her friends. They have this huge argument the day after. But they patched things up and they are okay until now.

Your friend seems like a sweet guy and kudos to you for supporting him, even with bribe . It was just unfortunate that the girl was not there to witness the declaration of your friend's feelings toward the girl. And I doubt if he would ever serenade her again. But, well, when the time comes and you feel like serenading someone you love, then I guess we know you would call.

it's like the story of the seducer in medieval times, possibly like the story Romeo - Juliet when Romeo serduce Juliet with singing while juliet saw him from the balcony. lol ...
I have never done this serduce model because I'm afraid it will only be inviting the neighbors to get out because distracted by my voice

ahah thats funny :D but poor your friend why his gf lied about where she was? :( so sorry for it. he was so sweety wanting to make a surprise like that and all was ruined^^ me i have a guy that i didnt meet in person yet just by internet but when we talked with mic he used to sing to me it was his way to show his feelings for me^^ he said he loved me and that told his family about being serious with me^^it really made me so happy when he sang to me^^ it made me feel special^^ i still wish now that a guy one day makes that for me a serenade near sure^^ bcs near i think is even more special right?^^ thats sooo romantic^^
