President Obama chose Dr Donald Berwick to head up Medicaid and Medicare. He made this decision back in April but never scheduled confirmation hearings. Now with the Senate in recess, he has jumped over the confirmation and placed Dr Berwick into position.
There would of course been plenty of opposition by Senate Republicans. Dr Berwick is a strong supporter of rationing healthcare. He favors the British Health care.

In my opinion, for what its worth, the great doc can move to Britain! What do you think?

All I can say is Phil Coyle, if it's the same Phil Coyle I knew when I worked, was a decent appointment. One out of a hundred, though, isn't anything to write home to mom about. I can't wait until 2012... Yes, I'm back until the end of July, then I'm gone again. I love vacations!

I avoided the news while on this trip the best I could (my Mom has to sleep with the TV on and it's usually Fox News on when I'm trying to sleep!) And from what I can tell, it was just more "ugly". Anything here on MyLot? I also tried to stay away from the internet/e-mail and when I did get a chance to read my e-mail (in Sacramento (too busy with the reunion in Colorado Springs)), I deleted 99%. For some reason, I kept the bills...silly me.

He never set up the hearing because he knew the guy would probly NOT make it through the process. So this is how Obama has figured out how get around the system and get who he wants in the job.
Congress should hold him responsible. The process is set up the way it is for a reason.
