soak in a tea bath. just brew very strong black tea then pour in tub, dump in leaves as well or spread them on worst areas. The tea helps to draw out the toxins the body creates when burnt making the burn hurt less. Oat meal baths work very well to and are very soothing. When done bathing slop on a whole lot of aloe. Internally drink lots of water and eat watermelon. Dehydration is a side effect of the burn and the less hydrated you are the longer it takes to heal. Also pop some vitamins.

warm bath and if you put a piece of screen or coffee filter over drain it will not clog. You can also put in a coffee filter and tie with string so as not to make a mess but that doesn't help as much.

I did pop in so vitamins today I figured as much. I have a question about the bath though. Will the oatmeal and stuff clog the drain? and should it be a hot, warm, or cool bath? thanks

I have recently discovered that with aloe gel + 2 excedrin extra strength works perfect, it doesn't completely get rid of the pain but it minimizes it enough to were I hardly notice it... I just hope I don't peel much. I'm moisturizing as much as possible

My sister used to put Noxema on my skin when I got a sunburn when I was a kid. it seemed to help. I have also heard of using aloe vera. I tried the aloe vera a few times and it did not really seem to do much for me though. Baking soda or vinegar in a bath is supposed to help, but I have never tried either of these. I hope you can get some relief from the burn. Sunburns are not any fun at all.

One of the old time ways of dealing with sunburn is to brew up really strong tea and dab it onto your sunburn. I know it works but not exactly sure why or how. So if you don't have access to Aloe you could try the tea. But if you can make it to the store Solorcaine (sp) is a really good spray for burn, sun or otherwise. Be careful and try to stay out of the sun for a while until you are better. Happy MyLotting.

Hi wicked I know how painful it can be...been there, done that Aloe is good if you can stand to touch the burnt skin...if it comes in a spray, that would be great. I have been known to use vinagar. It sounds weird, and you smell like a salad, but it really does help, although it's temporary. Eigher put a generous amount in your bathwater or just use something soft and dab it on your skin. Repeat as needed.

This always has helped my family deal with sunburns. Buy aloe vera, by Bananna Boat. Put it in the refrigerator for a few hours and then put it on. It will be very cold, but absolutely soothes your skin. We just always keep a bottle in the refrigerator during the summer.

Ripe tomatoes! Cut them in half (across the equator part) then stand in the shower or the bath-tub and pass them with a rotating movement over all the bits that are burnt. I see this is two days old so I hope you are not burning too much now.

rub yourself down with vinegar. This will help take the burn out of it. You should also get some aloe vera lotion and rub it on your burn as well. This will help keep it moisturized, which will help minimize the peeling...
