When you realize

I haven't wanted to be in a relationship for quite sometime... I have been comparing everyone to this one amazing person since I met him... and they just don't compare... And I realized that I have been doing that. I met him again a few days ago and he has changed so much that I didn't really even connect with him... so I think that helped me open up my eyes a little more. Anyone else have this happen to them...

This has happened to me. I would compare everyone to one of my ex boyfriends who I thought was almost perfect so no one else ever seemed good enough for me. However, a year ago I spoke to him again for a few times and realised he had changed a lot and was not the same person I had fallen in love with. Now I am with a wonderful person who I love very much and I don't ever feel the need to compare him to anyone else.

That's exactly what I'm saying. I still look for the qualities but at the same time... I'm almost expecting the same results so it's not as much a prerequisite I guess I could say
. As if everyone I'm looking for need's to pass a test but anyways

Well, certainly people change. All we can do is watch it and also ourselves as we are also no exception to change.

That's true, I have also matured in my opinion and go through phases just like everyone else. i suppose it was just a great revelation... to see how much someone can change in as little as 3 years...

Well when both of your thoughts are different and feel if you both need no love for eachother, then your choice is right. A marriage is bond of love and need of each other and respecting each other choices. If not, then a small gap and freedom can help grow without hurting each others feelings.
