I am a Christian, one who has always believed in the Holly Bible without questions; I must confess here that I am going into an area I am personally uncomfortable writing about, but my other voice is urging me to talk about it. May God forgive me if this is the devil’s triumph over my good judgement. Recent literary discoveries are beginning to point to the fact that about 700 B.C. the Gilgamesh Epic was dicovered in Nineveh, India, by George Smith who translated the 2000 year old clay tablet Epic into English in 1872. This discovery and translation of the Gilgamesh Epic rocked the world, but it also made scholars to believe that the Bible story of Noah was not as original as had earlier been thought-infact many came to believe that the story of Noah’s Ark was inspired by the Gilgamesh Epic. Every religion whether pagan or monotheist has a story that follows the story line of Noah. I do not think that the flood convered the whole earth. I do believe it covered the area that the Torah covers which of course was written about the people that first believed in one God. I believe that many times God tried to find a people to follow Him and Him alone and the Jewish people were the only ones to do so. They are not really the "Chosen People". They are the "People who Chose God"! Shalom~Adoniah
