Ravens and Crows

How can I tell between Ravens and Crows? In my backyard we have young birds with their moms. They are black I think the moms are brown. They were black and come in packs. I'm not sure if they were ravens. What do you think?

Ravens are much larger than crows. Crows go after crops, ravens are carniverous/meat eaters.
