That is a brilliant idea, and just to add to that, when it comes to exam time it's a lot easier to remember a conversation you had with a friend than a bunch of notes. Hense, studying with a friend and communicating through out is something I'll be aiming to do this year to prepare well for my exams.

Yes absolutely as it is a bit easier when you grasp the subject when your friend teaches you or when you and your friend both study together a sit is very different from studying on your own isn't it? i feel it is better to study with your friend on any subject which he is good or even friend teaching you can help you understand better than you studying for yourself

That's right! It's easier to remember things you have discussed with your friend than reading it on your notes. Plus, it's a lot more fun. You won't feel sleepy as much if you're discussing your lessons with a friend.

Hi there Alienstar! Tell me about it. We just finished our preliminary exams last week and I worked really hard reviewing and so far, some of the exam results were released this week, our test booklets were returned, that is, and I must say that I am really satisfied with the results that I got. I have some friends who likes having a study buddy or a group study but I am not one of them. What I do is to make a reviewer, read it quietly for a number of times until I understood everything or almost everything in it. I just find it hard to focus when I'm with someone else. I'm most likely to just chat with the person making me unable to review effectively.

yeah that is usually happen to me too as I would find myself talking rather than studying! so, I would rather study by myself and do some reviews with others..

Each one has his/her own way of preparing for exams isn't it? some of them do like to study quietly without getting disturbed by anyone and others do study with friends.I was studying some subject with my close friend who was really good in that subject which i was finding it tough and this has helped me score good marks in that subject later on.Your way of studying is also very good and keep up your performance

I'm not at ease when it comes to combined studies.i somehow end up disturbing or getting disturbed than to concentrate..it isnt that i wantedly speak every thing except my exams when my friends are around.there have been times when we watched movies on a nightout before the main day.so i do not wish to take any chances when it comes to exams.great day.

Everybody is not comfortable with studying in a group as you told here. There are more chances of wasting time if the group of friends are not serious in studying. Some of them do go for studying group study even if they know that others in the group are not at all serious and indulge in unwanted waste of time at those exam times which is really bad

At times studying as a group for me during college,is good especially if it's bout history or science. But when it comes to math I like studying alone. I too can't memorize if I'm with a group. I prefer to be in a silent room when memorizing things

Many of them do study alone with not much disturbance from outside and as yous aid i was also studying mathematics alone as i was not mingling with friends for this particular subject.I study by writing down maths problems and i cannot study it by any other way.But for other subjects, i was taking help from my friends on understanding some tougher parts

Studying in group does help because you are motivated by both competition and support from your friends. Unfortunately for me, I was the one who didn't really need to review for the exam because I have a good grasp of the material so I'm at the giving end of group study. I answer my friend's question with the best knowledge I know but sometimes it becomes tedious because often my friends do not understand a big section of the lecture and I need to summary and explain it for him. If you are truly prepared and pay complete attention in class then you won't need comprehensive review, just a fresh review of the material.

When there is healthy competition between friends it is always good as you both get more benefited by that. There should not be real rivalry or jealousy which might end up friendship also. But having a healthy competition is always good and also supported very well.I have been benefited many times as i had a set of friends who were not jealous and we were having a healthy competition to get more marks

I found out this secret of studying with a friend during my college days as i was also studying or preparing for the final exams siting with my close friend who also taught me some of the most difficult topic which i didn't understand and in turn i explained some things which my friend was finding it difficult to follow. So, we both got benefited with studying together

XD can't do that. I'd probably end up just chatting and playing with my best friend(s) instead of revising. at the same time, we don't do the same subjects so it'd be hard for him to help out.

Some people cannot get along with friends while studying as they do end up playing as yous aid.It all depends on what kind of friend you have and if your friend is of playful nature and doesn't have much seriousness on studies, then chances of ending up playing with you is much more and in such cases it is better to study alone instead of studying with them

it depends on who i'm reviewing with..if it is a group discussion; we can always study together or revise together one or two days before the exam..but we can't read tgether as each one might have a different way of reading or might want to study in a quite place or whatsoever..but for revising; we can always make it together and it does help in explaining the difficulties ...

A group f friends who are interested in group studying without getting into an other discussions is always good as here you tend to grasp some things faster also than studying it alone as you tend to take more time when you are studying alone for sure.Everybody don't encourage group study as some of them feel they are better off studying alone

we used to divide the topics that we need to study then afterwards, discuss to each other what we have studied. it saves a lot of time and effort. its also much easier to study if you have someone you can readily ask about certain things you don't know.

Having decent discussions after studying is part of excellent preparations as you also get to know some new things and also some of the interesting things which you may have missed and your friend might have got isn't it? there are different ways of preparingf ro exams and it is all left to students on which method they opt for during exam times

Yes, it does. That is if we really study seriously. When I was in college I used to study with a close friend or two and really seamed to work. Discussing lessons with someone really helps you remember and helps you correct any mistakes. Having someone to study with also helps you to remember specially when you ask and answer questions with one another.

You tend to save more time if you have a habit of studying or discussing with close friends isn't it? studying alone also works well for many of them, but according to me it does consume more time than studying along with close friends for sure.I used to study with a close friend of mine and the tough parts was easy to learn from a friend who was actually good in it

Yes, it will help you for sure. But it is still better if you would find a friend who is also interested in studying and good in studies as if you are studying with just a fiend of yours and not your close friend then chances of getting distracted is also more. So, be careful in this as it may well spoil your exam preparation also if you are not careful enough
16 Jul 10
that's cool.Being prepared with exam is good specially when your with your close friend because if you got query on something you can easily ask them what's on and you two sharing ideas to get the job well done and that's the power of two heads or hitting two birds with one stone. The preparedness to excellence.

If you have a close friend who is also good in studies or at least interested in studies it makes your job easier as studying together will always help each other and most of the times this will help only if the two are close friends and do understand each other or else this might also result in wasting your time as you might even spend time talking

When I was a student I was indeed more effective when I studied with a group. But of course, everybody in the group must be really into studying and must influence each other in a good way. For me, when I start turning sleepy, my friend in the group would wake me up and we'll study again. When I don't understand a certain part of the lesson, I can ask right away from the people around me without having to waste time figuring out the answer by myself.

It is better if you make it a habit of asking your doubts or anything that you don't understand with your friends as learning this way will make you grasp the subject faster.I have done this many times and this way of learning or preparing for exams also doesn't require much time like studying on your own

in exams study in a group with your friends is very good because one thing is that they know our mistakes and weakness so they will tell us and in group when we study we try to learn more than our friend so it becomes like a race in which everyone want to win so in this way can do good preparation for our exam

Close friend will not only know your weakness but also strength and maybe they will be able to give you proper guidance also on how to study your weak subjects and above all knowing your weak points is very much useful in preparing for your exams. One will go on studying without knowing much about himself during exam times and this is where he does mistakes

Studying for exams is difficult enough. If you can share the experience with a close friend, the burden is lessened a great deal. If you are after the same goal, it is easier to cope with.
