Michael Ballack has created a storm in the Germany squad after his comments that there are a group gays in the team that was third in the recently concluded World Cup. Beside this, he has slammed Lahm and insisted that he is still the captain of the national team.

I think all these are stupid things to say in public. Both Ballack and Lahm have a case as Ballack was the captain before Lahm took over and that too only because Ballack was injured. So logically when Ballack returns back, he is expected to step down. But given the teams performance under Lahm, no wonder he wants to stay at the top. But these should be discussed internally and Jogi Loew needs to decide who his captain is. I think the issue is complicated as Jogi Loew's contract has not yet been renewed and only after that is done, will he come forward to announce his captain.
Cheers!
Ram
