How to hyperlink on facebook / myLot

I noticed that a lot of facebookers writes their staus with their friend's name hyperlinked on it. Can anyone teach me how to do this?

hey friend... well, you simply use [@]then use the first letter of your friend and automatically would show up

yeah it was a new feature introduced by facebook some months ago .
