Well, basically, the headphones don't work! I have tested them elsewhere and I know they work.
I have the speakers connected up at the back of my tower unit and have made sure the left speaker is on the left and the right on the right hand side of my monitor, as they should be. However, when I plug my headphones into the "input 2" jack on the front of the left speaker the headphones have no sound but it still comes through the speakers.
My husband just says that "the speakers are knackered" but why would that be so..I've not had them long and if they were "knackered" they wouldn't work at all would they?
Any ideas what it could be? Could it be something to do with how the speakers are connected up?
Thanks friends, in advance.

If your headphones do not work I think there are three ways. First, you can give them to people who are repair headphones etc. Second, You can give them back to the seller for warranty. Or you can buy new they are not expensive you can buy them for $3-$5 dollars. I think problem is in lines maybe into them is something broken, because I have one situation like that. Take care, Have a nice day!

Well, if you had read the rest of my discussion and the comments therein it will tell you all you need to know about my headphones.
They aren't faulty..there's no headphone jack for them in the speakers. Nothing I can do about that..but it's not necessary now as the site I was using I've cancelled my subscription (i.e. video tutorials) so they won't be needed anyway. The speakers work fine..thankfully!

Since you're still getting sound from the speakers when the headphones are plugged in but not receiving sound, I'd take a look at that connection to see if they matched.

I've fiddled with the wires for a few seconds and that seems to have worked. However, the headphones sound is still very weak (but I can hear it) which is a start at least!
