Below is a video of U2 at Red Rocks, Colorado in 1983. I've actually got a video of the whole gig at my Mum's and it's one of my prized possessions. I loved everything about this video and Bono's bum..well I was only 17 at the time lol. Look how much hair he's got as well! Great band..and I'm glad they're still going strong even though (sometimes) Bono can be full of his own importance, but that's lead singers for you. He can't help it, bless 'im. Hope you like the vid anyway. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oG4jNAt70M4

I watched that on tv back in 1983 and it was so awesome, but I was 36! Boy how I wish I was that age again! My favorite song by them was New Years Day, and I still love it. I remember hearing it on the radio one day and I asked my girlfriend "Who are these guys?, I never heard of them, they must be a new band." Those were the good old days.

It's an amazing gig isn't it? Totally raw, fresh and without pyrotechnics lol. The Edge has stuck to his word and said that he will never be seen in public with a bald pate..once his hair fell out he has ALWAYS worn a hat, if you notice! Yes, I like New Year's Day as well...it's off one of the earlier albums that I can't remember the name of..I have it at Mum's somewhere. I've a couple of U2 LPs plus some CDs (and the video of course) but the last CD I've bought of theirs was the one with Vertigo on it. My favourite LP of theirs is The Joshua Tree and my favourite CD of theirs is Achtung, Baby! At least they are still going strong, something I don't think bands of today will...Oasis is a good example, two brothers that were on the verge of superstardom but they can't stand each other now!!

Haha! Very funny Dawn. At least we can see his lovely eyes in this vid..not like now with his daft specs. I can't take him seriously anymore even though his band continue to throw out ace songs.

Wow, I had forgotten that Bono had hair like that! This was U2 at their very best in my opinion. I love their early albums such as War, Boy, October, Unforgettable Fire and The Joshua Tree. These were their best albums I think as it was more of a raw harder edged and basic sound. I liked Rattle and Hum too, but I think that they went downhill after that. I never really liked any of the stuff that they released in the 90's and beyond. They have done well over the years though and it is a credit to them that they have managed to stick together for so long with the same lineup!
