Squished salamander tail

So.. I came to the door this morning because my cousin had stopped by on her way back in town and I came outside and she back in the yard looking scared and I'm like, "What??" She silently whispers "Lizard!".. so I look over and it's the newt or whatever it may be that lives in the columns of the porch. He is silver with a blue stripe down his back... quite eerie looking and kind of favors a snake when it's head it just visible.. but it usually runs away whenever you come near it. So today.. with no shoes on.. I hurriedly stomped at it so that it would run away.. it didn't budge. I moved closer and was leaning on one of the rocking chairs that it was nestled under to try to scare it away again. This time it surprised, shocked, startled.. scared the ISH out of me as we would say it round here... and tried to run back at my BARE feet.. I thought it was trying to bite me.. It moved so quickly. So I darted another direction and he went scurrying back in the direction from which he had come. But I leaned on the rocking chair and accidentally squished his tail off!!! It scared me so bad because when he was ready to run off of the porch he looked back as if he was going to remember my face and would bite me the next time he sees me.. I wished I would have killed him.. lol. If it isn't the bees, it's spiders, if it isn't that it's mosquitoes.. then at one point we had moles living in the yard... and now salamanders.. now I'm going to be scared to sit on the porch... what am I going to do??

Hi, mrscallands22. Wow that was very scary!
I am glad that the chair got the salamander's tail instead of your bare feet! I don't like any bugs or rodents either. They love to come out more when it is very hot during the summer time. You may need to get you some Sulfur to keep these pesky little rodents off of your porch. I hope that nothing comes back on your porch or in your yard again.

Thanks!! And I hope not either. Even though I was raised in the county, I am definitely NOT an outdoor person.
Thanks for commenting!!
