A famous Chinese writer, Lu Xun, said that making time is like squeezing water out of a wet sponge, you will always have more. The trick is to make full use of it. Whenever there are odd minutes here and there, don't stay idle, do something! Soon you will find that you have completed many things. So....start this today! Do you find this viable for you?

I try to squeeze the sponge, but my strength is not big enough. So I don't think it's viable. Though you can squeeze infinite time from your life, but your energy is finite, you'll be tired sooner or later. Anyway, I believe efficiency but not time! Try your best to improve efficiency!!

Time to do some push-ups then to train your muscles I agree efficiency is important, that was in reference to how you do the job. I was referring to the odd minutes in between.

Yes, i try to maximise my time by having a book/magazine with me so that I can sneak in a few pages whilst waiting for someone or waiting for my pc/laptop to boot up. However it is not so viable when you find that there are not enough time to complete a task properly and in that instance, i wouldn't start at all. I will thus avoid an unfinished task situation.

That is a really good habit to have, you sure aren't wasting any time! How about those moment when you wait to board a bus or for the traffic light to change? I would suggest you could quieten your mind and do some inner reflections. Such tasks do not need a large block of time.

haha, the inner reflections must come after I have boarded the bus or crossed the roads. I must keep my eyes peeled for delinquent riders or pedestrians!

Our government has recently advocated to let us work as long as we could, to postpone retirement so that we could still earn a living for ourselves at an old age. Can you rope your roomie into mylot too?

That's very interesting philosophy that writer must be very intelligent, though must say that sometimes we get so consumed with things going on around us that we forget that there are ways to make more time, and not to waste time also, that life is short and we should make every day count.

We have another philosophical saying, "LIVE IN THE PRESENT MOMENT", that is something similar to "Carpedium" - seize the day, though not entirely the same. This saying is telling us to be aware of each moment, about what we do, how we think, essentially, we can control every moment of our lives.

Yes, I think so. I try to be very active with tons of different things during the week, and then relax properly in the weekends. It works for me! I like Lu Xuns saying by the way!

It's how you juggle your time, fix the schedule then get the work done. It's about time management so we get the optimum balance of activities versus time.

Hello Bluemoon. It's not viable all the time, my sponge sometimes dries out :) I always try to make the most of my time though. Some people complain about being bored during days off work but those times are too precious to allow boredom to set in. If I waste time I regret it so I like to get things dont then enjoy what spare time I have each day :)

Hi Autumn, We only have so much time in one day, it would be a pity to let the time slip by. I'm glad you are maximising your usage of time.
