Now that M.Vijay has scored an half century in the second test, will the selectors keep him, or will they select Gautam Gambhir, if he is fit, for the third test.I feel Vijay should be given another chance, since Gambhir is not in a very good form at present. Your comments on this.

I think if Gambhir is fit, then he will play ahead of Vijay. I think Vijay did play well but he missed on scoring a really big one and nailing down his place ahead of Gambhir. I think if he would have scored a century, he would have remained in the team ahead of Gambhir.
Cheers!
Ram

That is the problem with T.N. players, when they get a chance, they do not use it properly. If he had scored a 70 to 80 plus score, he would have been a automatic choice, but now it is in the hands of the selectors.

I have to agree with you that gauti is India's No.1 opener,.Provided he is fully fit, he should play, otherwise even if a small doubt is there,, Vijay should be playing.

Provided Gambhir is fully fit. That is the million dollar question. There is no fun in asking a half fit gambhir to play, and fail. Of course of late, Gambhir's form has been awful, and he is also not fully fit.

i think gambhir should be given some time to recover and should be rested for the last test as well. In the meantime Murli will find time to get his form for the future and improve as a test player.

Good suggestion, Edward,Gambhir should be preferbly given time to recover and Murali will be able to find his feet.
