My Craft Update 8/12/09

Birthday Bags for my Granddaughters - I made the bags using part of a sheet, and the others out of pillow cases. All bought for just .25 each at yard sales. Most the items in the photo to go in the bags I won with my points on listia.com. In total I only spent $2.10 cash for 3 birthday gifts.

I got the girls' birthday bags sewn today. I'm including a photo here, which also includes the items that will be going into each one. (most all of it I got from listia with my points) I figure, minus my time, I only spent $2.10 for all you see in the photo!! How's that for being frugal? I did one more scrubbie for my friend and then ran out of material. I really need to make 2 more to complete her order of 10 (she's already picked up 5 of them) I will get more netting next time I get a chance to go to Wal Mart. I am currently working today on making a set of 4 coasters. These will go with a set of 2 hot pads that I crocheted. They are going to be my next giveaway on my blog...which hopefully I will have the giveaway posted on Saturday. Marsha

thanks so much! It was an idea I had in my head, then I was contacted by someone asking if I could make some. I made one, sent her a photo...she ordered a dozen. I am giving them to her very cheaply, as she is going to fill them to give to children that are removed from abusive homes. Marsha

These are really good. They are really cute. I hope you do well with your sales and make lots of profit. I think it is great you are getting so in to your crafting and are selling some, that is really awesome. Keep up the good work.

thanks for the encouragement. One reason I wanted to start doing a daily post here on what I was getting done with my crafts was to keep me motivated to get things done! I guess, it's not allowed for me to do so though, so I will have to think of some other way to post it. Marsha

Marsha you are working really hard at all of this, and you have some great ideas. I hope the three girls really enjoy their busy bags and it turns into a lucrative iterm for you on blujay. Hey, I picked up a new pattern for scrubbies at Hobby Lobby I think. I should share it with you.
