For some reasons I'm
with this so called customer of mine. I sell pet products online and I have a blog where all my items are, their description, price, how they can buy it, how they gonna pay for it. Everything you need to know is there. And he keeps texting and asking the size of this kennel, then the height, then the picture, and so on and so forth. What a time waster
. And it's all in the blog. He even text so late at night. What's wrong with this person??? I have had lots of so called customers that keeps asking and asking, saying they will buy this and that but really just wanted to waste time. I think they have this "I wanna buy all that but can't afford it, so imma gonna waste your time syndrome". One time this person ordered like a dozen items and didn't even show up. I firmly believe in karma, lol. Have you guys experienced this kinda customers? How do you deal with them?

yes ,i have to admit sometimes the customer just only can make you feel angry and boring....
but and thing i have to admit ,the requirement of customer is becoming more than before ,now on net sale ,a lot of quality problems occur ,some customer maybe very boring ,but in my opinion ,because you choose the net sale ,also the service including in the sale ,when you meet another customer like this person ,you first can tell him/her pls see the note on my blog first ,if has questions ,you can ask me , maybe sometimes your customer is an old man ,they can not very understand your description very clear , so be patient,my friend
but if meet some customer just want to waste time with you ,you can ignore them ,answer them sorry ,my net is not very stable, you can find a justification
as for me ,i usually ask the shop holder some details about the item ,make it can work normally in the certain circumstance... or after i buy it ,it can not work normally ,i will also be angry too....
only my personal opinion may not suit for you ....

Customers may not always be right..but we are into sales so we need to be friendly, kind, accommodating and be more patient to them to be able to get them. Even if they don't buy from what we are selling or wastes our time, i think being good to them is a way of showing them that we are good and that our store has nice and friendly staff. We may get their hearts by being good at them you know, so if they can't afford to buy the items we sell, they might be endorsing our shops to their friends who can afford to buy the things we sell because of the way we handle them. This happens to me a lot of time already..so i can basically relate to you. But it's always not a good day to all the sellers and owners so being rude sometimes is still health

santosmarichris,
I feel that you need to be prepared and expect whatever that will be coming your way. You have started your business online and as such I am sure you will be having customers from all walks of life and not forgetting the world as well.
Practice makes perfect and as such you should be more astute with your queries too. You should know when is the time to leave the customer alone and not spoil the mood for both sides. There's no point continuing and antagonize the situation further to no conclusion.
If he/she does not want to buy then leave it - answer whatever and whenever to your best possible knowledge and necessity, then just know when to back off. It is not your fault if he/she does not want to buy eventually.
Nothing karmic, it is just a matter of choice. Take care and all the best to your business.

Thank you for your advice. I believe it's okay for people to change their mind when buying, they can say it straight. But some people specially around here they will ask tons of questions, bargain and order and then don't even show up. This people have this so called syndrome, lol... Hope you have a good weekend.

It's really annoying if you can encounter a customer that have an attitude of being curious who only make wasting your time but we don't have a choice except to face the challenge. This is the normal way of being a customer but the bottom line they will not buy your product. Maybe at first it happen many time but when you learn a strategy to manage them you will catch them like a fish and become you avid customer. Don't give up instead continue and learn from your customers attitude.

We used to sell a lot of things through our local Craig's List and also through Cheapcycle and the customers were really hit and miss. I would say that when it is all said and done that we had a success rate of about fifty percent of the time they would show up. In fact, this is the majority of the reason that we don't regularly sell through these venues anymore. Now we do the vast majority of our selling of excess things through annual yard sales.

Wow, I see. Now, I'm learning here. Yeah, you know I noticed that most customers of mine who asks too many questions are the ones who don't buy, I have a blog and all the info are there but it seems that they still have more questions, lol. Those who are sure buyers are much easier and fun to sell products with. More sales for us! Thank you. [em]happy[/em

Just respond with grace. Some people are out to make life difficult for others. We must always respond and not react. When you react you are allowing the other person to determine your actions. Just relax and be proactive with customers who may want to proof stubborn. Prayer will also help. Just trust God to help maintain a good disposition no matter what the situation is.

You are right. Thanks.
You know, every time I have this certain customer that I get upset with I just reply to them and say "Thanks, God Bless you" and you know they don't bother me anymore. Wow, that's the power of God.

I put these type of customers to the ignore bin list. As I believe the seller has also the necessary right specially when his/her product are not common commodities that impact basic human survival.
In my shop (computer shop) I make the rules not the customer. :)

oh, i am so sorry to hear that. Some people are just trying to waste other people's time. Maybe, they are just bored so they keep on distracting others. I am planning to sell something online and i think this post would help me how to deal these kind of customers.haha.
Anyway, in a business, even though the customers make mistakes and are not always right whatsoever. We still have to treat them well.We still have to hold on our anger towards them because customers are important.

When you are in a sales position, you are told the customer is always right. There are times when this has to be an exception. Sometimes it will be the customer who tries to scam the business. The best way for a customer to do this is to use the customer is always right slogan. All you can do is try to please the customer to the best of your ability. You and and the customer would both like to have satisfaction. It just has to be done honestly and sometimes the customer is not always right. @Ceekay1989 (323)

i am from india. i am doing mobile recharge shop. one day one nice and educated man come my shop and tell please pull in my no to 30 rs refill. at once i do it that amount in his number. actually 30 rupess refill is one month sms pack not talk time. the customer saw that on his mobile phone message. and tell me my account did not refill talk time and qurelled me. i smoothly said to the customer 30 rs is not a refill pack it is only a sms pack. the customer did not compremised. i dont know about it but i want to 30 rs talk value. then put in to refill for his mobile. my pocket money 30 rs is loss.
following incident... i decided any customer come to my shop i asked for what purpose talktime or any booster packs.....

I'm into selling/sales also, but in real estate. I have this one client before that after all the hassle, time and effort of presenting him my project and having had his confirmation in investing in my project,I ended up expecting nothing from my effort of closing the deal. The guy was such an a-hole! He was just fond of playing around with sales people, inviting him out for lunch or dinner meeting,Then keep them hanging. Well,I was one of those "lucky ones' who had fallen from his modus. Karma for him. LOL!

There are customers like that they ask a lot. Even if you give them bargains they will complain. Because of competition nowadays customers become arrogant. I just let them buy from other store if they don't want my products. Then they return and change their minds.
