While not fully packed up to go, we're close to being done. There's barely any room around here to move, the pets are so displaced that they don't know what to do or where to go.
I feel bad about that, but I certainly don't feel bad about moving, this is a positive thing for me, time for a fresh start.
We're finally moving to our own house again, we lived in one 3 years ago, but it really was a dump, not a nice area, but this neighborhood is even worse.
That house was extremely small for 3 people, but the new place is far bigger, and there will be more space than we know what to do with. But I'm not complaining about that, it's about time we had room to move instead of being cramped into such a small space.
3 of us currently live in an apartment that's about 500 square feet, with a cat, dog, 2 guinea pigs who each have their own cages, and 5 hamsters.
I can lay across my bed and touch both walls with hands and feet, on a double bed. The spare room isn't much better. We couldn't even put our bedside tables into our bedroom, with the bed, there just isn't any room.
The new place however, will have plenty of room for both bedside tables and the bed, and still have room for bookcases and the like.
Our living room right now barely has room for our couch, but the new place will fit 2 or 3 of them, and still have room for chairs and tables. The living room even has a wood burning fireplace, which I really love. Winter will be nice, sitting beside it, watching tv, and staying cozy and warm. It will also help reduce our heating bill in the winter, that will be the primary reason for using it.
We'll actually have a place to eat meals properly, right now we have a small bar type counter to eat at, but with everything we have in the kitchen, we can't sit there. I either eat in my room or on the couch in the living room. But moving, I'll have no excuse to eat anywhere but the table, that's a habit I need to get back into.
Our bathroom will be larger than our current one, you can barely get in to close the door, and it's next to impossible to get the dog in to bathe him. At least with the new place, the tub is not behind the door, so there are no corners to turn to get to it. That's the biggest problem right now. You have to close the door to get the dog into the tub, a challenging task considering how small it is.
Right now we have a balcony, at our house, we will have a huge backyard to enjoy. I can't wait for that, it will be good for all of us, especially the dog, who I don't think has ever had a yard. I rescued him last year.
So I'm quite excited, been counting down the days rather impatiently, just willing the time to go faster.
We're hoping to have our internet ready by the time we move in, but the current tenants may be living in the basement for a month, and I'm not sure how that will work if they do stay there.
I can't be without my internet due to my job, so I'm hoping to have it ready to go when I get there.
Hopefully this is our last move for a few years, I'm really tired of moving so often.

I hate moving also as it is such a pain. No matter how much time goes by you will still have things not really where they belong for quite sometime.
I am happy your new place will be quite spacious so it will make this current hiccup seem well worth it.
Good Luck!
