Is deployment good or bad...or both?

I just had an awesome skype session with the hubs. I miss him so much words cant even describe. I think when our husbands are away we tend to romanticize (if thats a word) a bit. We forget the little quirks that drive us up the wall, and those we don't we even start to miss. In our heads our husbands transform into these knights in shining camo! They can do no wrong, start to look more and more like soap stars, and those annoyances quickly fade away. In a way we are lucky that they have choosen a career path that takes them from us from time to time. Don't get me wrong, nobody enjoys deployments or seperations for long periods of time, and I definately wont be the first in line saying "sign us up for another one Uncle Sam". But because of these seperations it gives us an oppertunity to miss eachother again, it's almost like we're dating all over again, and again, and again. You know what I mean, the butterflies when you get to see a new pic, the skipped heartbeat when the phone rings, the giddy school girl giggles when you get the occasional video chat. And let's not forget the best part...the reconnecting when they come home if ya know what I mean, wink wink! Ahhh I could go on and on about him right now, but I'll spare you! And I know when this deployment is over, and things settle back to normal after a month or so back at home, he'll be right back to driving me up the wall with those little quirks soon enough!
